Effective management of produced water is a
controversial environmental issue and an opportunity
for the oil the gas industry.

Unconventional oil production can leave two to four bbls of contaminated
water for every bbl of synthetic crude produced. This contaminated
water must either be hauled away for safe disposal or it sits dormant
in large tailings ponds while water in natural sources becomes
depleted. Wescorp Energy offers upstream operators a solution for
the environmental risks and costs of managing produced water.

With Wescorp's Total Fluids Solution:

The amount of oil in residual water waste is reduced to 0.005%
An operation injecting 1,000 barrels (bbls) of water per day will
recover an additional 5 to 30 bbls of oil per day
Remediated water is reinjected into the reservoir eliminating
the need to remove more water from natural sources

This prototype of Total Fluids Solution unit is installed at a drill site
in Central Alberta. The solution remediates about 2,000 bbls per
day of water-oil mixture.
