College Of Sciences & Technology

Science and Technology
If we look life 100 years ago, and compare that with the today’s life, we will notice that Science has dramatically changed human life. The mission of the Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology is to provide an outstanding, student-centered environment in which expert faculty empower students with knowledge and skills from science, mathematical and health-related disciplines.

Describe the multidisciplinary or disciplinary research focus, goals for education and broadening participation, the integrative nature of the Center, and the knowledge transfer strategy of the Center. STC partner organizations work together with the lead institution as an integrated whole to achieve the shared research, education, broadening participation, and knowledge-transfer goals of the Center.

Preliminary proposals and invited full proposals may only be submitted by domestic (United States) institutions of higher education that are located in the United States, its territories or possessions, and have doctoral degree-granting research and education programs in any area of research supported by NSF.

We will be more than happy to provide you with full details about our school, programs and other activities. Provide current and pending support information for the PI and co-PIs only, i.e., only those persons listed on the Cover Sheet of the proposal. RAND experts have often been among the pioneers of key scientific research, including computer analysis, satellite development, military technology, and the foundations of the Internet.

The Relationship Between Science, Technology, And Society

Science and Technology
Our scientists are recognized worldwide for their high quality research. Past members of STCs may participate in this open competition only if the proposed research and education topics or themes are substantially different from those they pursued with prior NSF Center support. Funds allocated for research, education, broadening participation, and knowledge transfer areas must be discernible.

Welcome to the College of Science and Technology at Millersville University. Describe plans for the mentoring and professional development of students involved in Center activities. The STC program seeks to support education activities directed toward the development of a diverse, globally engaged workforce of scientists, engineers, and citizens, well-prepared for a broad set of career paths.

All NSF proposals are evaluated through use of the two National Science Board approved merit review criteria. But, the resolve to use the technologies that we have and develop more for the betterment of all of mankind is predicated by the implementation of National Economic Reform’s Science and Technology Directive.

Environmental Science

The Science and Technology Division encompasses the traditional sciences and mathematics, as well as the applied sciences, such as engineering, computer sciences and radiologic technology. Also, scientists will need a lot more support from science and policy institutions if they want to shake up the old ways of doing things. Dozens of technologies with the power to transform human life, from 3D printing to cognitive implants, could become as ordinary as a cellphone by 2040.

Journalists may be told that teachers need to focus on skills because that’s what students are tested on. The reading passages on standardized tests don’t match up with the content students are learning—assuming they’re learning content at all—-so it looks like what is being assessed are kids’ general abilities to find the main idea” or make inferences.” In fact, if students lack the knowledge and vocabulary to understand the passages in the first place—as many do—they won’t have a chance to demonstrate any skills.” But it can be hard for teachers to absorb that message, especially when their job ratings and those of their schools are tied to test scores.
